Understanding Queue Types

In Voxjar, queues are used for data collection and evaluation. There are two types of queues:

  1. Ad hoc Queues: These are for immediate processing of data.

  2. Auto Queues: These are scheduled to run automatically at set intervals.

Creating Ad hoc Queues

To set up an Ad hoc Queue:

  1. Navigate to the Queues section.

  2. Select the option to create an Ad hoc Queue.

  3. Choose your data source. Options include:

    • Selecting data from existing uploads

    • Choosing data from integrations

    • Uploading URLs or files directly

  4. Select your evaluators. You can choose between:

    • AI evaluation

    • Human evaluators

  5. If selecting human evaluators, you can define distribution rules for how the interactions are assigned.

Creating Auto Queues

To set up an Auto Queue:

  1. Navigate to the Queues section.

  2. Select the option to create an Auto Queue.

  3. Choose your integration data source.

  4. Set up the scheduling options:

    • Select a time zone

    • Choose the time of day for the queue to run

    • Set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)

  5. Define evaluation deadlines if needed.

  6. Choose your evaluators (AI or human).

Managing Queues

Once your queues are set up, you can manage them in several ways:

  • View queue details: See information about each queue, including its status and scheduled run times.

  • Monitor progress: Check the status of currently running queues.

  • Export results: Download the data from completed queue runs.

  • Archive queues: Move completed or unnecessary queues to an archive for cleaner organization.

  • Edit queues: Make changes to existing queues as needed.

For Ad hoc Queues, you can view the details of the queue, but since they've already run, you can't edit them.

For Auto Queues, you can edit all aspects of the queue, including the data source, schedule, and evaluator settings.

Queue Processing and Limitations

It's important to note that there is a limit to how much data can be processed in one queue run:

  • The maximum number of interactions that can be processed in a single run is 1000.

If you need to process more than 1000 interactions, you can create multiple queues. This is a workaround for handling larger volumes of data.

When a queue is completed, it means that all items have been queued up for processing. It doesn't necessarily mean that all evaluations have been completed. You can check the status of individual evaluations in the queue details.

Queues are a powerful tool in Voxjar for managing your data collection and evaluation processes. By effectively using both Ad hoc and Auto Queues, you can ensure that your quality assurance efforts are consistent, timely, and scalable.
